What Makes Our Homes Different

Each Forest home is built on balance, with the structure you need to keep you steady and the comfort to help you feel at home.

Life here is about showing up, doing your part, and supporting the people around you. Residents share meals, keep up with daily routines, and hold each other accountable. At the same time, everyone has the freedom to grow and rebuild confidence in their own way.

Each home includes:

  • Clean, comfortable bedrooms with shared or private options
  • Fully furnished kitchens and welcoming common spaces
  • Outdoor areas where residents can relax or reflect
  • Regular house meetings that keep everyone connected
  • Support from live-in managers and peer mentors who are always there to help

The Forest is a place to find stability and learn how to live again surrounded by people who understand what recovery really means.

Where are The Forest Sober Living homes located?

We currently operate homes in Phoenix, AZ; Malvern, PA; Berwyn, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Cherry Hill, NJ; Hainesport, NJ; and Milwaukee, WI. Each home is located in a peaceful, residential neighborhood with easy access to 12-step meetings, outpatient programs, employment opportunities, and local amenities.

What do The Forest homes look like inside?

The Forest homes are fully furnished, well-maintained, clean, and designed to be as welcoming and warm as possible. Bedrooms include shared or private space, and the houses come with a fully stocked kitchen with a dining area, a living room for relaxation, a laundry area for resident use, and outdoor spaces for relaxation or reflection. We work hard to create environments where residents have dignity and comfort, allowing them to focus on what is important.

How many residents live in each home?

There are usually 6 to 10 residents per home. We design our homes to be small so that every person has the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and be seen, heard, and supported by those around them.

Is it okay if I visit a home before I move in?

Yes. Prospective residents and their families are encouraged to visit the home. Please contact our team to arrange a tour. We will walk you through the home, answer any questions you may have about our program, and help you get a feel for the community.

Are The Forest homes drug- and alcohol-free?

Absolutely. Every Forest home is completely substance-free. We maintain that standard through regular drug and alcohol testing, enforced curfews, and a structured daily routine. This keeps the environment safe and focused for everyone.

Do you have separate housing for men and women?

Yes. The Forest offers structured sober living for both men and women separately. This allows us to maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for all residents.

What kind of support staff is available?

Each home is led by trained, live-in house managers and supported by peer mentors and additional staff who assist with transportation, scheduling, job readiness, and family communication. Our team is available around the clock to provide guidance, accountability, and encouragement.
